Natasha Hinks at Stericycle Protest: ‘What do they plan to do to clean this up?’
(EnviroNews Utah) — North Salt Lake City, Utah — At a protest titled “Protest or Celebration? Governor Herbert? You Decide!”, Natasha Hinks-Henderson, co-helms-woman of Communities for Clean Air took the megaphone in front of the Stericycle medical waste incineration plant in North Salt Lake City, Utah.
The protest came about in response to powerful allegations made by an ex-plant employee turned whistleblower in an EnviroNews documentary earlier this month.
Community groups and environmentalists alike are demanding that Governor Gary Herbert shut down the old and controversy-laden medical waste plant using his executive authority immediately, while urging Utah citizens to call the Governor’s office at (801)538-1000 to voice their concerns.
