Environmental Groups Call on UT Citizens to Bombard Govs Office With Phone Calls to Shut Stericycle Down
(EnviroNews Utah) — North Salt Lake City, Utah — On September 25, 2014 a protest went down in front of the Stericycle medical waste incineration facility in North Salt Lake City, Utah over claims made by an anonymous whistleblower in an EnviroNews documentary.
At the protest, community groups reiterated the importance of citizens calling into the office of Governor Gary Herbert to state their desire to see the old waste burner shut down immediately.
Leaders continually reminded protestors that the number to call is (801)538-1000. It is their goal to see at least 500 calls put into the Governor’s office by the end of the weekend.
