(EnviroNews Utah) – In this extracted segment from the feature interview between EnviroNews Utah anchor Monica Bellenger and Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker the “Clear the Air Challenge” was discussed.
The Clear the Air Challenge is a diverse effort started by Governor Gary Herbert, Mayor Becker, Ben McAdams, Mayor Peter Corroon, and other community leaders that pushes designates a one month period eery summer to reduce vehicle miles travelled on the roads of Utah by at least one million miles.
As the program was a success it’s first time around, Mayor Becker was happy to speak about it, and it appears as if this challenge stands a good chance of becoming an annual tradition in the Beehive State.
